"This is wrong" thought Katelyn, "I'm supposed to be the giantess!"
Katelyn had gotten used to arriving in a new town, going straight to the city centre and enlarging herself without problems. No city police force could repel her and she often got big enough that the national guard couldn't even bother her by the time they arrived. She'd have her fun till the city was wrecked then shrink down and move onto the next town. Things had gone very wrong here though.
She'd reached the city centre and cast the growth spell but nothing had happened. She cast it again but once more there was nothing.
"That won't work." said a voice behind her.
She turned round to see a young woman dressed up in wiccan clothing.
"What won't work?" Katelyn replied playing dumb.
"Your spell. I've surrounded this whole town in my runes, only I can cast magic here."
Uh oh, she'd been rumbled. No worries, she'll give this witch the slip and cast her spell outside of the town then come back and stomp her.
"Stomp me? Well that's not nice."
"Had she just read my thoughts?" wondered Katelyn.
"Yes, I did" answered the witch.
Katelyn then realised the trouble she was in - if the witch could read her mind then she could read...
"The growth spell? Why yes I can, thank you for showing it to me."
The witch started to grow, most of her clothing ripped off in the process before she realised to extend the spell's parameters to her undergarments.
"Whoops" she laughed, "I don't want to show off my naked beauty to the whole town.. yet." She winked at the gawping crowds when she said the last bit.
Katelyn knew the ecstasy caused by growing and knew it would keep the witch distracted long enough to make her escape. She stole a car using a simple mind control spell and drove for the city limits, but there she encountered another problem; the witch's runes. She'd empowered them using her new size to create a physical barrier - there was no escape. Katelyn decided her best bet was to hide in the hills around the city limits and wait for the witch to tire herself out.
She hid up there for several hours before the thundering of steps came closer.
"I know you're hiding here somewhere, I can hear your thoughts" her voice thundered through the hills.
"Oh yeah, hear this - I'm going to stomp you when I get out of this town!" Katelyn flung the thought at her.
"Stomping? You really are a novice at this magic stuff aren't you? I can see in your mind that you've barely learnt the basic set of spells."
It was true, once she'd lucked into discovering the growth spell Katelyn hadn't bothered to learn anything else - she'd got what she wanted.
"Well here's a free lesson for you - a witch can take another witch's magic from her in a number of ways. I've never been able to try it before but apparently the most efficient method is to eat the other witch whole."
At this idea the young witch cackled filling the hills with echoes of her laugh. Katelyn cowered in fear as the giantess walked by inspecting every nook and cranny in her search. It wouldn't be long till she was found and eaten.
