Ok, just calm down, people.
Gadgetman has given a piece of advice, one I have to agree with. He hasn't been mean, in fact, his message is well-intended, and he even says that aside from the seam of the sock, the rest of the pic is awesome. So, it's all cool.
He isn't discouraging anyone, this is trolling, this isn't anything bad at all. In fact, at least from my point of view - it's a bit like repeating myself, though -, these little advices are good to improve your own art. And in the end, it's the author's choice whether to listen to them or not.
So this is no big deal. Don't make a big deal of something that isn't, please.
