It's currently at $430, though I'm not sure if the single $300 pledge is a troll or not.

The $300 isn't a troll, we've corresponded at some length with Zub about it, and he's got a long record of commissioning comics with a similar theme.

Also, thanks for giving us a link. Assuming we actually fund the project, we intend to do at least one more of these captioned mini-scenes to give away for everyone to see. Marketing sure, but also a way to share some of our work with everyone, even those who don't buy the full comic.
