Probably because it's a bit of a stretch. And when i say a bit of a stretch, I mean like a 500 mile long stretch. He most likely calls them babies because typically, babies are weak, and thus by comparing the enemy to them he is implying the enemies are weak. Also, he clearly calls himself a giant man because he *is* a giant man. Like, he's buff af compared to the rest of the cast.
