I guess sending in ground forces always makes for a good plot. In reality its more likely they would only be there to evacuate the area while avoiding contact for an air strike.

Sure, and Star Wars would be more realistic if they used actual lasers or high-speed mass drivers so they could hit fast-moving targets at a long range. But if it was realistic, we wouldn't have lightsabers and AT-AT's, would we?

Most people can put aside unrealistic elements of scif-fi but its not as easy to excuse when it comes to things we have in real life. For example we could a cold fusion bomb being carried around that can destroy a small country, but if someone threw a grenade and destroyed and entire city block most people would call BS.

Putting aside whats going on here, she is pretty hot. :D

Why use a cold fusion reaction when it has the same blast yield as a small firework compared to a Hydrogen Bomb? The hydrogen bomb uses nuclear fission to start a full fusion reaction extend the burn rate of the fission reaction.

A fire cracker vs total annihilation.

Shouldn't you be in the tags Lfc?
This is your comic right?
lfcfan 5/28/2017 9:05:40 PM Rating: 0

Yeah, I'm doing it, but I don't really mind. :)

Well credit where credit is due right?
:^)

I'm sorry, I don't usually fill out tags on my own when I upload. It's exclusive to RFD Comics for a few months, but LFCFan is the artist.

And as long as we're talking about realism, if she had normal human physiology at that size she'd pretty much instantly collapse from her own mass and turn into a pile of goop. Which might be a good body horror comic, but I don't think it would be especially sexy!

Close-range ground forces, I think, are a pretty small suspension of disbelief as far as giantess stories go. As are helicopters that get stupidly close. If it's good enough for Kong: Skull Island, it's good enough for me. (Although Ascension 3 actually of subverted that trope, by making the attack helicopter actually try to maintain a solid distance.)

BTW, Is there a way to change tags after you upload something?

We don't have giantesses in real life but we do have a military and most people are pretty familiar with the basics of how it tends to operate.

If I may weight in...

Reality is overrated. Having her pounded by aircraft over and over again wouldn't yield a fun comic, hehe. :D

That depends on your definition of "pounded", it could actually be be rather fun :P
(though she is a bit to small for that in this particular image)

Like I said we have a military in real life so most people are familiar with the basics of how it works. Since there aren't any giantesses in real life who is to say an air strike would even have an affect? There was comic where the military used nukes against a giantess and it only made her grow more.
BigMobe 5/31/2017 4:21:43 PM Rating: 0

One thing I would also like to add is that the villain winning instead of getting what he/she deserves doesn't always yield a fun comic either.
Redfiredog 5/31/2017 8:28:18 PM Rating: 0

I think the comic you're referring to is SorenZero and EmmaGear's Naked? Also, even with an understanding of how the military works, I really don't see it as a sticking point for realism. Action and war movies frequently have much less realistic depictions of military tactics, in what are otherwise more grounded stories.
