That's strange. I would check to see if you have any tags filtered. Images with filtered tags on them aren't clickable, and if the filtered stand-in image isn't loading (or if you blocked the image entirely) it would appear as just a black spot in the list.
Just click "Tags" at the top and click "Tag Filters" to see if you have any enabled.
