Xixi had taken a her usual morning run through Central Park just like any other day. It was a bit deserted today but she didn't think anything of it. She was on her fifteenth or so lap when a strange fog descended. Suddenly her head felt strange and she had to stop and take a breather.
"What's wrong with me," she wondered aloud. "I never get this tired. And what's with all this fog?" What she didn't realize was that she had started to grow. Slowly at first but then exponentially. The fog seemed to surge into her as she sprouted up. She could only assume it was causing her growth as her mind clouded over. She kept going until she topped off at almost 3000 feet tall and the fog was completely gone.
"Wow, what a RUSH! I'm SO big now! Ooohh! And look at the tiny buildings!" She crouched and with a mighty crash that shook the citizens of New York to their bones she sat on her haunches.
Tiny little passersby stopped to gawk at their new goddess. It wasn't long until a large crowd had formed around Xixi. This amused her to no end and she whipped out her phone to take a picture.
"Smile everyone!" She said as she snapped a pic. When she checked how it had turned out however she frowned. "I said SMILE!" she roared. People bled from their ears and fell to their knees in fright. "NOW! I'm going to take another picture and if its not perfect I'm going to be very ANGRY." The people barely had time to recover but they quickly dusted themselves off, a few still clutching their ears and tried to smile. Their smiles were painful and more like grimaces than anything but they tried their best.
"Thats more LIKE it," Xixi said indignantly. Why did yelling down at these real life, miniature,... bite sized... people feel so... GOOD? With that thought swirling around her head she stared at them lustily.
"BOO!"
A collective scream rose up from the crowd. What would it feel like to crush them? She shouldn't. They were people. Weren't they?
"So tiny, so... pathetic. I couldn't... ah well, we all have our LITTLE vices DON'T we?" What followed was the greatest massacre ever recorded in human history. The reign of Xixi had only just begun.
