However I think it's a tad unfair how mods can simply approve their own submissions. Meanwhile other people's submissions (like mine) get denied with no explanation whatsoever as to why it was denied. :/

CarCrushLover 2/15/2022 3:01:49 PM Rating: 0 @Marker No I tried uploading it 3 different times. Each time I had to save it as a new file. In fact when I tried uploading the same file the first two times, it said that the submission already exists and directed me to a dead link. I don't get it.

Marker 2/15/2022 3:40:29 PM Rating: 4 That last bit is always true. If you upload something, the website immediately reserves a spot for it (with a number) even though its still in the queue I think they did that intentionally so people can't upload the same post like 10 times

However I private messaged a mod regarding this issue, and they even told me that they couldn't find the submission and told me to reupload it. So I reuploaded it aaaaaannnnd once again it's gone. They didn't reply so I sent a follow up message asking them if they were able to figure out the issue and they replied saying to upload a "mirror image"; whatever the hell that means. >.> I asked them what exactly they meant by that and I got no response. It's been a whole week since I sent that message. (sigh) However when I check my sent messages in my inbox the subject title of that message is still bolden so maybe they haven't gotten to it. Or perhaps they're purposely not reading it because they just simply don't want to deal with it anymore. In all honesty, the latter would not surprise me if that was actually the case. In my experience with macro communities over the years, the staff is always an absolute joke and worst of all they often play favorites with certain members. I just- I don't even know anymore...

Keptup 2/15/2022 10:54:39 PM Rating: 0 I have some images I've uploaded that are sort of soft-hidden because they're marked as "low-quality" for... some reason. Can't imagine what the reason is, seeing as they're from sets that also include images not marked as low-quality.

When I upload one of my images, I try to also moderate 10 or so random images from the queue but there is no way I can mod all of them. I don't have as much time as I used to.

See, this is why I think this gatekeeping bullshit is nonsensical and the booru should revert back to how traditional boorus operate. Yes I know that spamming can be an issue but not if you limit uploading to 10 a day. Imo I think it would be way easier to delete any images that break guidelines than to have over a thousand images on the backburner. Like, holy shit! I don't know, that's just my opinion, but it seems to make a hell of a lot more sense to me. Seeing that my original comment got 4 likes it seems there are others who are just as disgruntled about this as I am.

There's no way! Not to mention the fact that while mods are sorting through all of those, people will continue to upload even more images and those images will get stockpiled on top of the huge mound of shit that still needs sorting through. Tags or no tags. The only surefire way I see to solve this issue would be to prohibit uploading for several months, sort through the mess and THEN allow uploading again. This is insanity lol

I tried changing my email address to my proton email because the one I have currently assigned for this account is older than Jesus Christ and I can't even remember the password for it lol! Anyway when I tried changing my email it told me "please use a valid email address". That right there just tells you how old this system is. xD
