Part 1 of Growing Malcontent.
The security forces had to deal with a different world overnight. Monitoring for people ordering the parts to make bombs was hard but at least you had time once you discovered someone was up to no good. With the sharing of growth serum formulas in certain circles the game changed - as soon as someone had the right chemicals to hand they could instantly become a weapon of mass destruction. To counter this the security forces now needed stronger weaponry and faster transport to try and neutralise threats.
They'd gotten a tip off from intel that a malcontent living in a block of flats not far from the city's centre had collected all the chemicals needed to grow - she'd bought them all at once so there was no forewarning. They predicted from the amount she'd collected that she would grow to between 40 and 50ft - a big one in their books so they bought their most powerful artillery in case they could not stop her in time.
They couldn't believe their eyes as the helicopter approached the apartment building - the building shook then started to collapse as the immense young woman burst up out of it. She was bigger than they expected - much bigger. She was obviously growing more than she'd planned as her stretchy top, strained by her impressive bust, finally pinged off - her pants seemed to be holding for now though. She instinctively covered her chest as she continued growing.
The security forces decided to open fire but knew it'd likely be useless, they'd never had to deal with a threat of this size before and didn't have the artillery for it. She was too busy inspecting her new size and shaking off masonry to even notice their missile harmlessly impacting on her thick skin.
Meta: I feel bad using a picture of Charlotte Church because of all the trouble she went through the press taking unsolicited photos. I almost discarded it but decided to keep it in the end as I think it can be viewed as being empowering.
