The Giantess had appeared in the city days ago and most people had been smart enough to evacuate, but you needed to go back for your laptop. You could have just got another but you figured the risk of the behemoth finding you in the whole city was pretty small. You'd gotten most of the way down town without even seeing her - you'd heard her rumbling footsteps in the distance but they seemed far enough away to be safe.
As you neared your apartment block the rumbling of her steps grew louder, you decided to play it safe and keep to the narrower alleyways to avoid her. As you were busy planning out the best route to take you noticed something, the thundering steps had stopped.
You made the mistake of looking up. The giantess was on her hands and knees looking straight at you through the gap between buildings above.
Her voice reverberated and echoed through the alleyways, 'Peek-a-boo'.
Meta: I've always had a thing for Sophie Ellis-Bextor so I'm glad to work her in somewhere. I'm trying a few more concise stories now so to give a flavour of what I envisage for each collage but still leave them open for the viewer to interpret.
