The forest spirit was a minx. She liked to play with those who got lost within her borders.
She'd often manifest as animals or insects and torment wayward wanderers as they journeyed.
Sometimes she'd redirect a river and move trees to ensure the lost never found their way back.
But her favourite thing to do was to appear in her true form - a giant idol of carnal desire.
She would reveal herself slowly to her victims. At first she would appear alongside hikers who'd wandered off the path in the guise of another hiker. As they journeyed together deeper into the forest together she would start to remove clothing to reveal her sinful body underneath. When the poor wanderer fell for her that's when she would start to return to her normal size - stretching in front of their eyes and enjoying every moment of it.
Some would stand and stare, others would run in fear. She wouldn't follow those who ran, she saw them as game and would let them get a head start. Eventually she would be big enough to spot them wherever they ran in her forest.
What she did to her victims was unknown. Some said she kept them as husbands of the forest, bound to serve and protect her for all their lives. Others said she would help them find their way home... after a bit of fun. Or maybe she just ate them.

Meta: There's something about Dana Hamm - she has an incredible body but there's something uncanny about her face, I think its the eyes. I know she's had a lot of work done which could explain it but I think she has a slightly other-worldly look about her which makes her a good candidate for being made a mystical giantess. I tried a new method for blending hair in this hair which is using GIMP's blur brush (yes, there is one hidden away in its toolbar) and going round the edges manually with it - seems to have left a better result than my previous approaches.
