Part 2 of The Growing Diver Saga.
This was beyond the research group's worst fears. Not only had Brianna survived the suicide mission they had sent her on - she'd come back a giantess. As soon as they heard the first reports of a giant woman emerging from the sea they figured out what had happened and had relocated.
The next few months had been a global game of cat and mouse. They would set up in a new location and Brianna would turn up several weeks later no matter where they went. There had been several close calls but so far they had managed to avoid her wrath. It appeared that Brianna's size was slowly dwindling over time, the research group hoped if they managed to avoid her for long enough she would stop being a threat.
But unfortunately they screwed up. Normally they would know the giantess was coming in advance from reports of her on social media and that would give them time to up and leave before she arrived. But the city they had now set up in was famed for its brown outs. Without power there was no network, and no network meant no social media. By the time they finally saw reports of the giantess after the latest brown-out it was too late, she was already here.
The researchers looked out of the window and saw her emerge between the buildings. She immediately set her eyes on their tiny lab and beamed them a wide smile as she leaned on the building opposite.
"Looks like I've finally caught up with you guys." she boomed.
The researchers knew better than to run or panic, with her being so close there was no escape now.
They watched as she sauntered through the city, hip-checking a smaller building so hard that it collapsed on her way to demonstrate her power. She wasn't as big as she had once been but she was still formidable. With almost no effort at all she drove her hand through the lab's reinforced walls and plucked out one of the scientists. She grasped him tight and brought him up level with her face.
"I remember you." she sneered, "You were the one who told me I wouldn't need a spear gun."
"Well, you didn't." he quipped back before yelling in pane as she tightened her grip around him.
"How does it feel huh?" she taunted him, "Being crushed alive by some gigantic being? Can you imagine how it would feel if you were in the dark and couldn't breath?"
The scientists yells grew louder as she gripped tighter then suddenly stopped. She dropped the lifeless body without any ceremony into the street below and abducted another researcher from the lab into her mighty grasp.
The woman she had selected screamed as she was brough face-to-face with the giantess.
"Now that you've seen what I can do I want you to think carefully about lying to me." the giantess warned her.
The woman struggled and screamed some more before Brianna gave her a good shake.
"Ready to comply?" Brianna asked, the woman in her hand nodded dumbly - still feeling dizzy from being shaken with such force.
"Tell me everything you know about the giant squids - now!" demanded the giantess.
The scientist in her hand wept as she started her confession, "We knew their growth was caused by man-made waste. We knew because it was us who put the waste there... well, it was our parent company."
The giantess furrowed her brow, "So you knew all about them? Why send me in?"
The scientist seemed reticent to answer at first before realising her place, "Well... we couldn't have the world finding out about the dumped waste. We figured if a professional diver was killed on a routine dive in one of the dumping areas we could get them closed off on the grounds of health and safety."
"So you expected the squids to kill me." queried Brianna.
"Them or the radiation." admitted the tiny scientist in her hand.
The scientist struggled fruitlessly against Brianna's fingers while the giantess pondered these revelations. Her colleagues watched on impotently from their lab. Finally Brianna decided on something and brought the scientist even closer to her face, "You're going to give me a list of all the dump sites."
"You're going to out us aren't you?"
"Of course, the world needs to know."
"Ok, fine. You'll not find them all though." taunted the tiny scientist, forgetting her predicament for a moment.
Brianna briefly squeezed the woman causing her to yell out in pain before asking her question, "Oh, why's that?"
"Because some of the waste was sunken far deeper than any human or machine can dive."
"Oh, you forget I have the lung capacity of several blue wales and skin thicker than any submarine hull - I don't think that'll be a problem for me."
Brianna swiped her free hand through the lab instantly wiping out all of the gawping scientists. The remaining researcher in her hand squealed in terror after seeing her colleagues wiped out so swiftly.
The giantess held the scientist even closer to her face.
Even though she whispered the next threat her voice was like a hurricane, "If you think I was big before just you wait till I've finished our little journey together."
Meta: Compared to my last image with Brianna Marie Dale, this one is a bit of a let down. Its ok but its not on the level that one was. For this one I had to blur her and add some noise to get her to blend with the scene, in addition to massively reducing the colours which ended up giving it a slightly stylised look when I added the end filters. The hand was a late addition, after experimenting with it I saw this as a great place to try it out in a pre-existing collage. It was tricky to place it right given the angle of her arm but it ended up looking ok. I'm really getting into this story - I'm tempted to make another collage of Brianna with her at a massive scale to finish it off.
