Part 1 of A Trip to London.

Hi everyone and thanks for checking out my travel blog.

This is my first entry on my weekend trip to London. I've been planning this trip for a long time - I thought it might never happens thanks to some complications with the travel company. They wanted to cancel my booking because I hadn't disclosed I was a giantess. However, the threat of legal action (and maybe of my foot going through their headquarters), seems to have made them change their minds.

I won't bore you with the logistics but I finally arrived in merry old London town this morning and went straight into the city to see the sights. I've found that while the old streets are quaint, they're a nightmare for someone my size to navigate - luckily the old buildings don't pose much resistance for when you need to push through.

A note on the climate: I was told England was always cold and foggy - turns out in the summer it can become hotter than a lot of places in mainland Europe. I didn't know this before setting off and had packed nothing for the heat. In the end I just opted for wearing my underwear - a bit risqué but the locals didn't seem to mind.

I've spent the day getting my bearings so far. Many people say you need to take the tube to get around the city but I've found that everything seems to be within walking distance. During my wanderings today I stumbled upon (and almost into) the Sky Garden - a collection of trees and plants on top of building offering views of the city. I'd heard a lot about it but upon seeing it myself found it rather underwhelming. I thought with a name like Sky Garden it would have been much further up in the, well... sky. In the end I found myself having to get on my knees to have a good look at it.

I decided to coerce a tiny into taking a photo of me while I was visiting the sky garden to include with this post. His tiny tablet screen was far too small to see the end result - how did it come out?

I'm looking forward to exploring the city's history a bit more tomorrow and, of course, the food.

Meta: My last collage with Katelyn featured her as a mini-giantess, I had to rectify things here and make her much, much bigger. This now feels like an acceptable scale for her - or at least a good start.

I've used my own shot from a recent trip to London as the scene and the image of Katelyn is from her website. I love this shot of her as it makes her seem so imposing and big, like she's too large to fit in a single photo.
