These options have been mentioned before, and I agree it is annoying when you have a small monitor and can't even tell what's going on in the image because it's so enlarged. Katelyn plans on adding this feature at some point, but it's going to be a while as she's going to hold off on coding in new features until after her move, then will most likely overhaul the site all at once, when things have settled down.
Be patient with these feature fixes, as they are on the drawing board, but it isn't going to happen quickly just now. They'll be implemented in the future be sure though. :D
