I didn't post it for a couple reasons, one of them being the fact you ask for sources a lot. If people keep answering those questions, you'll just keep asking them instead of looking things up yourself. In this case however, Google seems to be derpy and no longer give results, whereas it did give a result earlier today.

Whenever I think an image looks like it's from a certain artist, I try and verify it. If I can't it on any of the websites I know of that artist, i.e. Pixiv, gs-uploader, Deviantart, etc., I don't (ask a mod to) tag it with that artist's name.

A system like that has been mentioned several times before, but afaik, nothing more than talking about has been done. A tag blacklist that a user can specify in his/her profile page can replace the current set of filters, which would mean images no longer need to be given "hidden" tags, they would just need 1 set of tags. And while we're of the subject of possible improvement to GB, I came up with an idea to allow users to edit tags again, but still prevent bot accounts messing things up: Once a user has been a member for x amount of time, and they have uploaded x amount of images that have been approved, they can be given the required permissions automatically.
