The city was cleared long ago, when she first started growing. The only people there other than her, was the man in the car, the camera man, and the men in the fighter jets. Dispite the man in the car's best pleas, they told him to drive into the city. For some reason she was absolutely fascinated with this man. He knew that the more she destroyed, or consumed, the bigger she gets. Other growth trigers were later discovered, like 7th dimensional energy.
The militairy's big idea: shoot her with the shock missles, hopefully making a tazer effect, and buy them some time to at least try to make her bleed.
The result: this is the last known photo before she crushed the world with her...
The origonal historian was crushed by impact with her, before finishing. no one else knows what he was about to say, as his planet contained the only remaining person who saw the end of earth 150 years ago.
