Hey, to optimize SFM (yes, it's source filmmaker) render there are some things to do: 1) Right click on selected camera screen => Render setting make sure Depth of Field, motion blur and subpixel are checked (occlusion ambiant too) then change the value "Use camera setting" to the maximum override value (should be 1024 for DOF and 256 for motion blur). 2) right click on camera1 (or any cam you are using) in the animation set editor => show in element viewer => Camera it will redirect you to the element viewer of your camera, then look for those 2 lines: Depth Of Field Quality and Motion Blur quality. Default value is 0, you can change to another value, as high as you want, i personnaly put 50 for both because the higher it is, the more it will need ressources from your computer, and rendering will be very long. also, i spend a lot of time changing ambiant occlusion, bloom and tonemap settings from the camera. now, this is how i render my pics: File => export => poster remove TGA and choose PNG or JPEG (as you want, i personnaly use PNG but some people says that JPEG is better for photographic and realistics pics). DON'T check "constrain proportions" choose the Image Size of your choice. This pics is 1920x1080 (1080p) which is my desktop resolution. i think it's the best common HD size. but SFM is like a lot of 3D manipulating software, you need to spend a lot of time on it to optimize it. hope it helped

Note: it take a good time to build the scene (placing model, light, camera) but it also shows how beautiful the Source engine is :) can't wait to learn about animations

Looks more like Source Filmmaker to me, the only map you can load on this software (if you don't import another map) are TF ones. good software tho, you can import model (like Liz' here) and do any animation you want with it.
