Here's how to use them as maybe you're typing them in incorrectly? https://i.imgur.com/wQsIA4u.png - The front page when I took this screenshot featured 3 images of characters with green skin so I figured I would use that as an example. https://i.imgur.com/gYX4ZN7.png - I went to the Tag Filters tab once logged in and entered green_skin as the tag I no longer wanted to see https://i.imgur.com/cleOZPR.png - and sure enough it removed them from view. The only place they still show is if you look at comments and someone leaves a comment on a pic with a tag you have filtered. The tag has to be the exact one used, and if things still get through then there was either a mistake made along the way, or the offending image was mistagged. And if that were the case you can leave a comment with a tag correction.

EmmaGear 3/10/2020 11:37:39 AM Rating: 4 When images get uploaded they go into a queue on our end that is then presented in a randomized order on every refresh. The reason for this is basically so that if the queue gets backed up then the stuff at the bottom won't just go weeks or months without being approved, but it does have the negative side effect of making it nearly impossible to get sets up in the proper order. But there is a Galleries feature at the top you can make use of to create public galleries and place them in the correct order once they're all up. It's not the best solution but it does work!

A filter will hide the thumbnails in the gallery and make it so they can't be clicked even by accident though! An unfortunate bug with this is that the thumbnails will still be visible if you click the "Comments" tab, though. But viewing it on the main gallery will have the images disabled if they're properly tagged.

I don't remember a lot of the specifics, but iirc it's quite literally against the law for someone living in Japan to make "obscene" images without censoring it to some degree. The small strips are basically some loophole or something to legally count as censored while still showing as much as possible. I almost certainly got some details about it wrong, but that's the gist of it.

This site really needs a "news" section or something so there can be a permanent post but until then I'm kinda just stuck periodically reminding everyone that if there's any tag merging, replacing, or mass tag edits that need to be done (such as fixing a typo on a tag that has multiple images) you can leave a comment or send me a PM about it and I'll take care of it. If it's just a single tag on a single image that needs to be added or corrected then any of the other mods can also handle that so a comment would be better. As a side note, the queue has been mostly cleared out now so any images uploaded should be done fairly quickly. Should be. Hopefully.

If for whatever reason you don't want it deleted after then just comment on the image itself, as Flying_Waffle implied. Tag fix + a comment on the pic itself gets the comment left up since we don't want to take away from any nice comments towards artists and such.

EmmaGear 7/6/2019 1:30:38 PM Rating: 0 It's a mod only thing and I don't have the ability to make people mods and I kinda don't know who does lmao. MarkM used to help with that but I haven't seen him around for a bit. The best thing you can do to help out is to tag any images you upload yourself. Saves anyone looking at the queue the effort of doing so themselves and usually gets it up faster if the tags are good. MSPaintGTS does a great job of this and I barely even read her tags anymore cause she's usually very thorough when adding them.

EmmaGear 7/5/2019 8:23:45 PM Rating: 2 If you try and upload an image that's already on the site (or has previously been removed) then it'll be rejected. Unfortunately it only works for exact matches. So if someone were to, say, upload an image not at full resolution then someone else can come by later and upload the same image at full resolution and they'd both be accepted. There's currently about 700 images in queue though so I'd bet anything not up is still in queue.

They're harder to make out from this angle if you hadn't seen them before but I approved that other image first so I knew what they looked like.

Either way it's time for another minor announcement! From this moment onwards if any comment is made that is JUST a tag correction, then the comment will be removed after the tag is corrected. This is mostly to make sure that the comments tab stays on topic and relevant to actual comments about pictures, or things related to them. If you leave a comment that is both a tag correction and an actual comment, then it will not be removed. Similarly, if the correction is unnecessary, or incorrect (Like if an artist has confirmed they want their name on the site to be X but it's Y on other sites) then we won't remove it and will leave a reply clarifying the issue. On the plus side, if anyone's been worried about spamming the comments tag or replying to ancient images with a correction then you can freely do so now. And I guess that's it. If you have any questions feel free to ask below, and I'm announcing it so people aren't alarmed if they start seeing comments they'd left behind on images vanish. SO I suppose that's it. We really need a front page with a place to make mod posts or something so these are easier to see and be public.

Images with filtered tags on them aren't clickable, and if the filtered stand-in image isn't loading (or if you blocked the image entirely) it would appear as just a black spot in the list. Just click "Tags" at the top and click "Tag Filters" to see if you have any enabled.

If you have any questions or issues with tagging or anything that you would previously go to MarkM about you can now also come to me! I'll try and comment more so I'm more visible too. 2. Among other things to try and make the site better to browse I'm breaking up the former "large breasts" tag into two tags with the help of some of the mods. "Large_breasts" and "huge_breasts" are now separate! So if you like your boobs realistic or unrealistic now you're more likely to find what you want. And to celebrate this change I uploaded a picture that would be filed under it. Hooray!

Someone had the bright idea of uploading Nikko's entire body of work to the booru, and inflated the image queue size to well over a thousand. I got tired of seeing it and with some help managed to get it down to less than 500 and I think I removed all the Nikko images. I could be wrong, but if there are any left they're very sparse. In the meantime, I'd very much like it if you guys could look at the images I added at the very end of the Nikko flood (This one included) and maybe give some underappreciated work a comment by going to the image's source.
