So there are criteria beyond upload time and a random selection presented for approval which influences in what order things are approved, and being able to approve one's own uploads is definitely not a random result. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's weird to me how mods have said that there's no knowing what order stuff pops up in the queue and that approval is essentially random, when things posted only a day or two ago shoot through the approval process and appear almost immediately ahead of older posts waiting for approval with stunning regularity.
