Then you go around biting back at people for unsolicited opinions when you YOURSELF give an unsolicited opinion on a commenter, and make several assumptions about said commenter while doing so. You wanna know what these assumptions are? 1. You assumed that the original commenter was a native english speaker This may shock you, but not all people can speak and type english fluently, and not everyone cares about looking like a savant on a porn site's comment section. 2. Contributions are required before you are allowed to criticize anything This is what I don't get. You're not allowed to like something and state that you don't like it publicly? My issue with the whole 'think it might possibly be underage = deleted' is how vague the criteria are for things getting deleted. Girls who clearly look older than other girls in images posted on this site are getting deleted, while some others, who clearly look young (possibly underage) are allowed to stay. (And yeah, I almost wanted to be a mod here as well, but the current policies of censoring/purging images en masse turned me off from that. It also kinda turned me off from uploading when I uploaded like 50-60 images when I first joined, and only like 35ish got approved, then the ones that WERE approved got purged down to less than half that.) Also, @Amy, do you believe I did anything wrong? I defended one user from another who tried to paint him/her in a negative light. Then the person comes around and calls me uneducated, entitled, brags about a (most likely fictional) education, tells me I'm wrong (which I don't feel that I was, given that I wasn't attacking him in my initial post, merely defending the other user), acts as if he did nothing wrong in being a jerk to another user, then eventually does a 180 and ADMITS he's wrong, but spews out all that garbage anyways because he wants "me to know what it feels like". Plus he "wasn't going to reply to increase my frustration" so what difference did it make? At least I made things a little entertaining with my rebuke of that person.

Japan isn't "making the game". Nintendo is. While Nintendo is a Japanese company, a MASSIVE amount of their sales come from western audiences, and you'd be remiss to say otherwise. Yeah, nobody knew who Marth or Roy was, but that's hardly the case anymore, now is it? iirc the only reason they allowed Marth and Roy to stay was because "they looked cool" (paraphrased quote from the people who allowed em to stay because I can't remember it off the top of my head). There were no polls available to the public for melee, unlike now. And now, those polls might as well be meaningless, do you not agree? Or do you actually believe CORRIN won the polls? Japan exclusives are nice and all, but you seem to be forgetting that Smash is a game that ISN'T made to be exclusive to Japan (and Fates isn't even exclusive, its getting localized and released in February, iirc). Also, because you believe that Corrin has a better story than the lords of one game, does not mean that he has a better story than the characters of other games (not to mention lords are not the only characters, important though they be). What about Blazing Sword? Binding Blade? Thracia 776? You think Corrin has better stories than ALL the lords, and ALL the characters? Or at least most? At least give some reasoning why you believe that to be the case, because unlike Fates, which the western audiences have little knowledge about, the other games are well-established, as are the characters and their respective backstories, plotlines, designs, personalities, etc. You cannot compare the introduction of the first Fire Emblem characters ever into Melee, which had no input from the public to begin with during its character selection, to Smash 4, which now has a facade of Nintendo caring about its public fanbase's opinions (though its nothing more than that: a facade). Not only that, but Fire Emblem has a respectable # of reps now in smash. They don't NEED this rep, but they want it for the $$$ for Fates. Who gives a fuck about the customer's desires, right? And, funnily enough, Smash DOES have a japan-exclusive character in Smash: Roy. Binding Blade never got localized/translated, it ended up being fanslated (which is still good, thankfully). But yeah, there's no "empty slot where Japan-exclusive Corrin should be, and Corrin only", and there shouldn't have to be one. But y'know, whatever.

Am I complaining about Fire Emblem's number of representatives? I'm complaining that this one happens to be one of the lamer reps of the potential ones they could've used. As for Corrin, what I CAN do is judge by design, which is all I need at the moment. They decided to put in a character that not only NOBODY voted for, but nobody outside of Japan knows anything about. Seriously, there are plenty of FE characters that are plenty good for the role of being an FE rep if they needed it, but in this case its just a blatant marketing push. If not, then why did they not use characters that fans of the FE series would actually know, like Ephraim, Hector, Sigurd, etc? Not to mention that most of the FE reps are sword wielders, which tend to wear rather thin on Smash fans after a while. And do you realize how hipster you sound right now? "ITS EXTREMELY POPULAR IN JAPAN BRUH" I'm sure Japan's entire FE fanbase decided to vote for Corrin, right? Its nice that Corrin doesn't have a shit moveset and doesn't only use a sword, but they obviously are just doing a marketing push for FE, which is a shit thing to do to the fans of Smash. I ironically got into the FE series through Smash. I was like "Ike's design is cool and all, maybe I should check this series out" Nintendo's actions as of late have been... unscrupulous, to say the least. Nowadays its all about the money for 'em. Tis' a shame considering how much enjoyment I got out of their games. Also: Pft,as if I need to play Fates in Japanese to know putting Corrin in Smash was a terrible idea from the start. And have you played it in the original Japanese? If so, then I HIGHLY doubt that you could truthfully say that Corrin is one of the best Fire Emblem characters of all time. You do realize how many characters there are in most fire emblem games, right? Average has gotta be at LEAST over 20-25. Multiply that over 9-10 games (not counting remakes) and suddenly you don't have much ground to stand on unless you could compare untranslated Corrin to all those units, and somehow state why he is better than all these other characters. Go on, I dare you to tell me why Corrin is better than Hector, or Ephraim, or Sigurd, or Eirika, or Lyn for smash. If you do, I'll be impressed, but still not convinced because that's not even the tip of the iceberg with Fire Emblem, and its scores upon scores of characters.
